A dear friend asked me to make a sample of my Kinder Back Pack for her shop. I was only too happy to oblige. This is a sewing pattern for a child sized backpack, complete with instructions and photos of how to make piping and a professionally finished looking backpack. I also added the drink bottle pocket – its a FREE pattern on my website, SewingSue.com.
It was an interesting trip down memory lane for me. I wrote the pattern three years ago. At the time I taught classes on how to make it. Then as life goes I moved on to whatever was the next pattern and the next and so on. So now revisiting that old pattern was quite fun.
Of course the fabrics that Marie at Cool Cottons chose for the sample were just adorable. I admit I greedily kept the scraps wondering what I would make with them…Something for my little boy no doubt – whatever it is it will be super cute.
